What's the Deal?

Hi, I'm Lara. I am a Library Assistant at a county library system in Mississippi. I am also attending the University of Southern Mississippi, seeking a degree in LIS.

This is a blog that strives to show some of the different programs and opportunities that a library can offer. Books are wonderful and I love to read. But it's time to realize that there is more to a library than just books. It can be an information hub and a social aspect of your community.

Hopefully this blog will introduce you to some of the possibilities that a library can be! This is definitely Not Your Mom's Library!
